Cider house Altzueta
Although the date of its foundation is unknown, there are documents that prove that Altzueta cider house was engaged in the sale of cider as early as 1878, and continues today with its fourth generation.
The old building is in front of the current one, built around 1910 and renovated in 1982 by Agustina Goikoetxea and Juan Goikoetxea, and restored for the second time by Aitziber Goikoetxea and Ibon Alkorta, in 2004. A major reform was carried out in which the size of the warehouse dedicated to the production of cider was increased. New modern machinery and more stainless steel tanks were introduced.

BASQUE CIDER D.O., 100% local apple!
High-quality natural cider made from 100% native apples. A cider made from Basque apples, using locally-created varieties that have been improved and nurtured over thousands of years. As well as using local produce, the basis of the Euskal Sagardoa designation of origin is quality: all ciders bearing this certificate must undergo exhaustive physical-chemical analytical tests and tastings.
