FARMERS MARKET AND CIDER CELLAR

Even today, the Basque “baserria” (farmhouse) is still the main feature of our cultural landscape. It is the place from where the “baserritarras” (farmers) take the food to the town of Tolosa in order to be sold, every Saturday from time immemorial. Fresh, seasonal products, grown and made carefully as local people do. We will taste a “pintxo” snack made from local products together with a nice glass of cider, and then continue on our way to the Cider House. You will get to know the family that runs it and the steps required to make Basque cider will be explained. You will then taste the product, first bottled and then sitting down into a traditional cider house menu. We will later return to San Sebastian so that you can continue enjoying our land.
